From sales problem to CRM solution.
A product and technology initiative where I identified a lead-management bottleneck inside PocketX's marketing and sales process and built a practical solution around the team's actual workflow.
01 — The Situation
While working with PocketX, I noticed that the SaaS was not generating the expected level of sales. Instead of looking at marketing alone, I started looking at the complete journey— from lead generation to follow-up and conversion.
02 — The Problem I Identified
The marketing team was generating leads, but many opportunities were getting lost during the sales process. Lead information was being managed manually through Excel and other scattered processes. This made it difficult to remember every lead, track follow-ups and maintain a consistent sales workflow.
03 — The Idea
I realized that the problem was not simply generating more leads. The team first needed a better system to manage the leads they were already generating. So I proposed building a dedicated CRM for PocketX's marketing and sales workflow.
04 — What I Did
- Identified the lead-management bottleneck
- Analyzed the marketing and sales workflow
- Improved the SaaS direction and user experience
- Designed and developed a custom CRM using WordPress
- Centralized lead information
- Built a structured follow-up workflow
- Added calendar-based follow-up tracking
- Reduced dependency on manual Excel-based tracking
05 — The Solution
I built a WordPress-based CRM specifically for PocketX's marketing and sales team. Instead of keeping lead information in Excel, the team could now keep lead data, follow-ups and sales activities inside a structured system.
06 — How The Workflow Changed
- Leads stayed inside the CRM
- Lead information became centralized
- Follow-ups became trackable
- Daily follow-up activities could be organized
- Follow-ups could be viewed through a calendar
- Sales team had better visibility of opportunities
- Less dependency on manually maintained Excel files
07 — Impact
The CRM transformed the lead-management process from a manual and scattered workflow into a more structured system. This helped the marketing and sales team manage leads and follow-ups more effectively, contributing to an improved sales process.
